Gandhi

This restaurant opened in 2003 and is one of numerous Indian restaurants in Geneva. But the story of its owner, who left his country aged just 15 and travelled through Russia and Italy before arriving in Switzerland, is one of the most extraordinary. The moderately spiced food served is typical of Northern Indian cuisine, and the furnishings were all produced in India over a three-month period. The walls are covered in images from Bollywood movies, some of which were filmed in the Swiss Alps or Genevan parks.
